The Barney School of Business and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, based in Cambridge, Mass., will co-sponsor a panel discussion on “Recent Developments in Urban Real Estate” on Thursday, April 18, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Wilde Auditorium.
Speakers will include Cletus C. Coughlin, senior vice president and policy adviser to the president, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis; and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy visiting fellows Daphne Kenyon and Dan McMillen.
Colin McEnroe, the host of WNPR radio’s “The Colin McEnroe Show,” will serve as moderator for the discussion. The program is being organized by Jeffrey P. Cohen, professor of economics in the Barney School of Business.
Coughlin will discuss "U.S. and Metropolitan Area Housing Prices: Looking Backward and Forward;" Kenyon will talk about "Payments in Lieu of Taxes: Balancing Municipal and Nonprofit Interests;" and McMillen will discuss "Examining Property Assessments: How Volatile and Fair Are They Across Different Homes."
