Director of Athletics Pat Meiser was among a group of distinguished speakers at a panel discussion, “Similar Journeys and the Same Obstacles: A Look at Women in Sports,” held March 4 at the University of New Haven and facilitated by the university’s Sports Management Program.
In addition to Meiser, the panel included Rosa Gatti, retired ESPN Senior Vice President for Communications Counsel and Corporate Outreach at ESPN; Michelle D. Wilson, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer at the WWE; and Dr. Donna Lopiano, former CEO of the Women’s Sports Foundation. Dr. Elizabeth Davis, Dean of UNH’s College of Business, moderated the two-hour event.
Meiser also will be part of the 27th Annual Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner on Wednesday, April 23, as an honored guest. She will be inducted in the Honorary category for her contributions to women's college basketball in the state. The dinner will be held at Cascade in Hamden, Conn.
