Lovers, actors, amateurs, royalty and the fairy worlds collide in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, which will be performed by The Hartt School Theatre Division May 1–4.
Performances will take place Thursday, May 1, through Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m. at the Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.
Hartt's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream is directed by Theatre Division Chair Alan Rust. It is the eve of a Royal wedding and the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors, who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set, have a midsummer evening not soon forgotten in this playful comedy.
