Adam Stankiewicz, a junior in the University's Multimedia Web Design and Development program, has earned considerable media attention recently as a member of the U.S. Boomerang Team that will compete later this month at the World Boomerang Cup in Perth, Australia, the sport's world championship.

He was featured on a FOX CT news broadcast on Friday, April 4, and in a story in the Hartford Courant on Sunday, April 6.

At 20, Stankiewicz, who is from Higganum and lives in Wethersfield, is the youngest member of the American squad. It is already his second trip to the world championships. He was also on a U.S. team that finished fourth two years ago in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he took 18th place in the individual competition.
