Third Annual ENHP Day: Friday May 2

ENHP Day 2014 will be held on Friday, May 2.  This year's day-long celebration of research, scholarship, and partnership will feature three guest speakers whose presentations are relevant to the work of faculty and students within ENHP. Their presentations will appeal to many within the larger academic community as well.

About the Speakers

Christine Ludwig and Dave Anderson co-authored Notes from Movers and Shakers with Parkinson. Ludwig lives actively with Parkinson's disease and believes with conviction that "exercise is medicine!" (Scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in Auerbach Auditorium, Hillyer Hall)

Rebecca Puhl, PhD, is the Deputy Director at the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at Yale University where she is also a Senior Research Scientist. Puhl is responsible for identifying and coordinating research and policy efforts aimed at reducing weight bias. (Scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in Auerbach Auditorium, Hillyer Hall)

Mary Beth Bruder, PhD, is the Director of the University of Connecticut A.J. Pappanikou Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service and Professor of Pediatrics and Educational Psychology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She is the editor of Infants and Young Children and currently directs a number of federally funded projects. Bruder is also a consultant on the DaSY Center, The Center for Early Childhood Data Systems. (Scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Auerbach Auditorium in Hillyer Hall)
