Barney Student Anna Pan and Accounting Department Recognized by CTCPA Educational Trust Fund

Anna J. Pan, an accounting and chemistry double major and actuarial science and math double minor, received the Connecticut Society of CPAs' Educational Trust Fund Candidate Scholarship in October. The $3,000 scholarship is awarded to assist recipient students in complying with the 150-hour educational requirement of the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy.

Pan received her scholarship at the CTCPA ETF Fall 2014 Awards Dinner. Pan is the recorder for Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary and professional organization for accounting and finance students in the Barney School, and is president of the Actuarial Club.

During the same dinner, grants also were presented to the Barney School Accounting Department and to the Beta Alpha Psi chapter. Representatives of the Educational Trust Fund of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) presented the grants.
