Botanical explorer Joseph Simcox will be on campus on Monday, April 20, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. to speak to students in Professor Roger Desmond's course, "Food Journalism," in Gengras Room 335.

The talk is open to all.

Simcox travels the world as a consultant to a variety of agricultural organizations (locally, Comstock, Ferre & Co.). He searches for seeds of new and unfamiliar fruits and vegetables, and has the largest collection of seeds in the world. He typically brings samples to taste.  His colleague, Irina Stoenescu, will discuss her work in influencing change in the food system through media.
