The Cunning Little Vixen was inspired by a serialized comic strip published in the Czechoslovakian newspaper Lidové Noviny that satirized human behavior through animal characters. People behaving like animals behaving like people behaving like animals- that is the cycle of life that inspired this opera. It has been made into an animated movie, an orchestral suite and an opera that resonates across cultural lines. The Hartt Opera Theater presents the Connecticut premiere of The Cunning Little Vixen.
