University Recognized Again with Platinum 'Healthy Workplaces Best Practices' Award

The University of Hartford was recently recognized, along with several other companies, by the Business Council of Fairfield County for the Healthy Workplaces Best Practices Award.  2017 is a very special year for the receipt of this award, as it marks the 5th consecutive year that the University has been awarded the top honor of a Platinum award! 

The Business Council’s Healthy Workplace Employer Recognition Program is the premier wellness award in Connecticut that recognizes and celebrates the outstanding achievements of businesses and organizations for implementing employee health promotion and wellness programs in both the public and private sector.  The program acknowledges efforts to facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity, and ensure healthy work environments.  Platinum award winners are recognized for their established, comprehensive wellness programs that have measurable and documented outcomes.

The Office of Human Resources Development, in conjunction with the Wellness Committee, is excited to continue the momentum by offering new and engaging wellness initiatives for our faculty and staff.  On behalf of HRD, Lindsay McKeegan would like to thank the University community for their continued commitment and support of the University wellness program.
