Bin Zhu, Associate Professor of biology in the College of Arts and Sciences, presented his research at the Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society (NEAPMS) Annual Conference in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on January 10-12, 2017. The title of his presentation was “An update on physical and biological control of invasive European frogbit”. Professor Zhu reported the research findings on the most recent physical and biological control methods he and his students investigated.
At the conference, Professor Zhu was elected to serve the Board of Directors and chair the Scholarship Committee of NEAPMS. The society is a diverse group of professionals dedicated to understanding the unique needs of aquatic plant management in the Northeast and communicating that knowledge to both the public and private sectors. Professor Zhu will serve a three-year term, starting January 2017.
