That patio is getting renovated!

Today, the University of Hartford begins the renovation and expansion of the Gengras Student Union.

The current patio will be transformed into a new community space for students, faculty, and staff. New collective spaces will inspire collaborative work and encourage participation in organizations and activities like Student Government, Greek Life, and the Center for Community Service.

Our design and construction partner, SLAM, will install a construction fence barrier around the site today. The patio and its entrances will be closed until October.

Einstein's, Suissman Lounge, and the other dining options will remain open for this phase of the project. All other departments, such as the Office of Career Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Center for Community Service will remain open as normal.

We will provide updates through UNotes, our website, and on the University's social media channels as the project progresses. Please also visit www.hartford.edu/gsu_renovation for more information and updates.
