Coming off one of the most tumultuous presidential elections in recent memory, leaders of Connecticut’s House and Senate and members of the press will explore how incivility in campaigning and governance shapes our view of politicians and our world. The discussion will explore how we can maintain civility in these times of partisanship and social media, and what role the media plays in the process. Panelists will be Connecticut House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz (D), Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano, CTNewsJunkie Editor Christine Stuart, and Journal Inquirer Managing Editor Chris Powell. Max Reiss, political reporter for NBC Connecticut, will serve as moderator.
The panel will be held on Monday March 6, from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Harry Jack Gray Center's Wilde Auditorium. Attendance is free and open to the public. Register at www.anchoronline.org/rell. Parking is available in Lot F for those coming from off campus.
