Paul Slaboch, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, CETA, has been awarded a 2017 NASA Faculty Fellowship Award. The Fellowship will be hosted by the Acoustics Branch of the Propulsion Division at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) in the summer of 2017. During his tenure at NASA GRC, Professor Slaboch will conduct an investigation of inlet fan noise using a new computational tool, Actran TM, in support of the commercial supersonic transport project. This project will lead to research opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students at UHart who are interested in computational aeroacoustics.
