The 2017-18 season will feature the following artists:

October 19, 2017: The Heath Quartet – The dynamic and charismatic Heath Quartet is fast earning a reputation as one of the most exciting British chamber ensembles of the moment.

November 16, 2017: Trio Latitude 41 - Violinist Livia Sohn, cellist Luigi Piovano, and pianist Bernadene Blaha came together to form Latitude 41 in the summer of 2009, as a result of their previous musical collaborations and mutual passion for chamber music. Since their formation they have appeared globally, to great acclaim.

February 15, 2018: Emmanuel Pahud, Flute & Alessio Bax, Piano – Flautist Emmanuel Pahud, Principal Flute of the Berlin Philharmonic, is an internationally recognized soloist and prolific recording artist who performs around the globe at a remarkable pace. He has appeared with virtually every major conductor of our time, and his list of chamber music and solo recital collaborators reads like a who's who of music. In addition, Mr. Pahud has been an extremely strong advocate for the creation of new music. His appearance at Hartt will be part of a one-week tour of the USA...his only performances in this country during the 2017-19 seasons.

Pianist Alessio Bax’s quintessential lyricism, insightful interpretations, and dazzling facility create “a ravishing listening experience,” with playing that “quivers with an almost hypnotic intensity” (Gramophone), leading to what Dallas Morning News calls “an out-of-body experience.”

March 29, 2018: Attacca Quartet – The internationally acclaimed Attacca Quartet has become one of America’s premier young performing ensembles. Praised by The Strand for possessing “maturity beyond its members’ years,” they made their professional debut in 2007 as part of the Artists International Winners Series at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m., Millard Auditorium, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.
