Over the summer months, the campus' Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard, is transitioning over to a new server in order to take advantage of the higher speed and power of 64 bit processing. Summer 2017 courses will continue to use the old Blackboard system until the conclusion of the summer term. A green button linking to the new Blackboard system (and fall 2017 courses) can be found on the Blackboard login page. Alternatively, the new Blackboard server can be logged into directly by going to https://bb20p.ctdlc.org.
The new Blackboard system will look familiar, but there will be a few changes for faculty and students. In addition, this new Blackboard system will require campus users to upgrade to JAVA 8. Instructions for doing so may be found here: http://www.hartford.edu/academics/faculty/fcld/files/pdf/technology/general/InstallingJava.pdf
ECHO360 has been upgraded by Media Technology Services (MTS) and this may have affected the way the two systems interact within Blackboard. Please contact Media Technology Services for details firstname.lastname@example.org.
Faculty are encouraged to contact FCLD with any concerns and/or questions about this upgrade, (860) 768-4661 or email@example.com. Students should contact the Student Help Desk at (860) 515-3742.
