The Connecticut Jewish Ledger published Professor of Jewish History Richard Freund’s summary of the work he and his students did this summer in Lithuania. One of the projects, at the site of a former labor camp, will be the subject of a Discovery channel documentary in 2018.

The Times of Israel included a story and video about the discovery of ritual baths at the site of the Great Synagogue in Vilna, which was destroyed in World War II. Students worked with Professor Freund and an international team to uncover the baths, and in doing so, also unearthed thousands of artifacts.
