The Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford has become a member of the Envestnet Institute on Campus. The Barney School will now be offering 25 scholarships each year to students who plan to pursue a career in wealth management. Barney School undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate.

The Envestnet Institute on Campus program is designed to promote and prepare students for careers in wealth management, financial planning, and related industries. Student scholarship awardees will receive relevant, broad-based, practical training on investment management that complements their business school coursework. Selected students will complete an eLearning program developed by leaders in the financial services industry.

Upon completion of the Institute, students will earn a certificate as well as job search support via resume inclusion in the Envestnet Institute database. The database is accessed by a multitude of wealth management firms.

Other participating universities include Fairfield, Fordham, Tufts, and Villanova. The Institute is a joint initiative of Envestnet, fiserv, The Money Management Institute, and Wheelhouse Analytics.
