Red Flag Identity Theft Prevention Training

An estimated nine million Americans have their identities stolen each year. Identity thieves may drain accounts, damage credit, and even put medical treatment at risk. The cost to businesses and educational institutions can be staggering. The Federal Trade Commission requires that the University adhere to a set of rules call the Red Flag Rules. A Red Flag is a pattern, practice, or specific activity that may indicate an identity theft. Identity theft is fraudulent use of someone’s personal information. Come to this hour long session to learn how to be smarter about your own digital identity, as well as the steps we take department by department to keep community information as safe as possible..

Space is limited, and seating is first come/first served.
