The University of Hartford is mindful of the challenges part-time adult students face in finding courses that allow them to make progress towards their degrees while still meeting their work and family commitments. The University Studies degree programs are designed specifically for this population, but we realize that there are working adults pursuing other majors at the University of Hartford. So we’d like to extend an invitation to all part-time adult students to check out the Adult Express courses that are offered online in two accelerated 7-week sessions per 14-week semester.
The spring 2018 course offerings are now posted on the Self-Service Center. The offerings for adult students can be found easily by selecting either First Adult Express Session or Second Adult Express Session in the Part of Term drop-down box that is directly under the Term selection drop-down box. In addition to the courses that are regulars in our rotation, we are introducing a few new courses this spring: AUCS 120 Sources of Power taught by Barb Haines, CMM 240 Intro to Media taught by Margo Greenlaw, and SOC 351 Sociology of Health and Illness taught by Monica Hardesty.
Registration PINs have been sent to your advisor. Students who are in the University Studies program can register themselves with their registration PIN. Adult students in other majors will have to contact us directly or have their advisor contact us with a request to register.
Registration for part-time students begins on November 7. So check out the Adult Express offerings and confer with your advisor about course selection to be sure these courses will meet one of your degree requirements. For more information on these courses, contact Karen Sullivan at email@example.com or 860.768.4373 or Rob Toller at firstname.lastname@example.org or 860.768.4457.
