Faculty Member Receives Russell Sage Foundation Presidential Award

Amanda Freeman, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, received a Russell Sage Foundation Presidential Award for early career scholars in the area of Social Inequality. Freeman is the principal investigator on the project and will be working with Autumn Green of Endicott College and the Wellesley Center for Women to produce a book manuscript based on interview data that explores the experience of low-income parents pursuing higher education.
