Women's Lacrosse to Hold Open Tryout for Inaugural Season

The University of Hartford women's lacrosse team will host an open tryout on Monday, Jan. 22, for students interested in joining the Hawks' inaugural Division I team. A mandatory meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, for all interested.
 
Any student interested in trying out for the program MUST contact assistant coach Liv Pyne (Pyne@hartford.edu) in advance. There will be a required informational meeting that all prospective student-athletes must attend on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the Woods Classroom of the Mortensen Library from 1-1:30 p.m. 
 
Tryouts will take place on Monday, Jan. 22, on Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium.
 
Under head coach Meg Decker, Hartford women's lacrosse will begin its first season as an NCAA Division I program at the University in the spring of 2018. The Hawks' first game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, as part of a doubleheader with the Hartford men's lacrosse team, against Delaware State.
