Builder’s Risk Insurance Workshop – Do’s and Don’ts for Project Owners

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This Construction Institute workshop will provide a detailed overview of builder’s risk policies and how they protect a construction project. It will provide a comprehensive look at a builder’s risk policy from inception through the end of the project, and discuss potential issues at every stage of the process.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Gain in-depth understanding of builder’s risk coverage, from shopping for the right insurance policy through the claims process.
  • Understand how builder’s risk insurance operates, what risks it covers, and how it interacts with other types of project-specific insurance.
  • Learn to avoid claims for “failure to procure adequate insurance”.
