Our Mechanical Engineering students have a competitive edge when it comes to gaining admission to impressive graduate engineering programs!

CETA graduate Hala Al-Khalil ’15 entered Stanford after graduating with a double major in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Alexander Paterson ’17 went on to Stanford as well.

Reid Bassette ’18 has received offers from multiple institutions, including Stanford. In addition, he is assisting Dean Hisham Alnajjar with his NASA USIP project through the NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium.

According to, Stanford was ranked the second best graduate school for engineering in 2018, right behind MIT. This isn’t the first time our students have gone on to prestigious graduate programs. Click here to read about previous students who have been admitted to competitive programs.
