Tracey Rudnick was appointed to the Music Library Association’s Board of Directors as Assistant Administrative Officer. After one year, the incumbent becomes Administrative Officer and oversees the financial and administrative functions of the Association for two years, before returning to assistant for one final year. These roles work closely with the Association's president, board, business office, and special officers to carry out the organization’s mission.
The Music Library Association is the professional association for music libraries and librarianship in the United States. Founded in 1931, it has an international membership of librarians, musicians, scholars, educators, and members of the book and music trades. MLA formulates and promotes standards for music materials in the field of librarianship, working in collaboration with other organizations. MLA holds an annual conference, publishes a scholarly journal and three monograph series, and offers research and travel grants related to music research and librarianship.
