In honor of National Library Week, Harrison Libraries will be hosting a “Food for Fines” drive from Monday, April 9 through Sunday, April 15, 2018.

For 7 days only, Mortensen and Allen libraries will waive fines on overdue materials in exchange for nonperishable food items to benefit local area food pantries. For each can or jar of food donated, the Libraries will waive up to $1 in outstanding overdue fines. There is no limit on the number or amount of fines that can be cleared, but bills for lost or damaged library items and interlibrary loan fines are not eligible for the "Food for Fines" program.

The Harrison Libraries will gladly accept donations even if there are no fines to be waived.
