Laura Johnson Leaders Program: Call for Applications

The Women’s Advancement Initiative is currently seeking female faculty and staff to participate in the 2018 – 2020 Laura Johnson Leaders Program. If you could benefit from, and/or add to, this dynamic leadership development program, we urge you to apply.

Priority application deadline is May 27, 2018. Click on the link below to download the application.

Created in 2008, The Laura Johnson Leaders Program is a development program for women faculty and staff at the University of Hartford. In its inclusion of faculty and staff together, this popular program succeeds in not only building leadership and professional development, but also in fostering greater community on campus. Continuing the legacy of Hartford College for Women (HCW), this program was named for Laura Johnson, a former Dean and President of HCW, who personified leadership and instilled confidence in the many Hartford College for Women students whose lives she touched.

Participants benefit from an innovative leadership training program, networking, engagement in a campus or personal development project, and exposure to higher level decision making within the University and beyond. Participation is free thanks to the generosity of The Women’s Advancement Initiative’s donors – a community of women and men who believe that advancing women’s potential is a personal and collective priority.  These donors include faculty, staff, and students who have benefited from one of The Women’s Advancement Initiative’s programs, including many Laura Johnson alumnae.
