Biology Students Present at Undergraduate Research Symposium

Four UHart biology students recently presented their research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J., Saturday, April 14. The conference featured 200 poster presentations by undergraduate students from 60 universities.

Kyle Murphy ’17, who is taking a post-baccalaureate year to do research, and Kyle Vaccaro ‘19, won the first place award in the Genetics division for their poster presentation with Assistant Professor of Biology Yingcui Li titled, Osteoarthritis Induced by HAS2 Knock-Out in Articular Cartilage Cells.  

Biology students Chris Cowie '18, Jeffrey Finch '20, also presented their poster with Assistant Professor Li on the Effect of Lead on Nerve Growth Factor Regulated Doral Root Ganglion Neurodevelopment.
