Electrical and Computer Engineering Students Initiated Into Eta Kappa Nu Honorary Society

Eta Kappa Nu Inductees reciting their Oath.

On Thursday, April 26th, five students majoring and Electrical and Computer Engineering were initiated into membership in the Iota Epsilon Chapter of Eta Kappa Nu, the Honor Society for Electrical and Computer Engineering. The students were chosen based upon their academic performance and standing in their classes.

The inductees and their hometowns are:

  • Fahad Albalawi ’19 Tabuk, Saudi Arabia
  • David Norris ’19 Bethlehem, CT
  • David Piekut ’19 Cromwell, CT
  • Karolina Pilip ‘19 New Britain, CT
  • Michael Sayers ‘19 North Granby, CT

In addition, 6 members of the Class of 2018 were recognized with their Honor Cords for the 2018 Commencement.

ETA Kappa Nu was founded at the University of Illinois in 1904 and is currently administered by the IEEE. The University of Hartford was founded in 1984. Professor Ladimer S. Nagurney is advisor to the Chapter.
