The Blackboard Learning Management System will be unavailable May 18-20, in order to complete phase two of a migration.  During this time we will be moving spring, summer, and non-academic courses to Blackboard’s Cloud.  Summer Term I Blackboard instructors are encouraged to prepare Summer Term I Blackboard courses prior to May 18 so that disruption to teaching is minimized.

Summer instructors needing content from a prior semester for summer term courses, should fill out a copy request form to have the content copied into summer term courses: http://hartford.edu/academics/faculty/fcld/course_requests/Course_Copy_Request_Form.aspx

Due to time constraints, there may be a slight delay before spring and non-academic courses appear on the Cloud.  Migrating Summer Term I courses will be given first priority, since Summer Term I courses begin May 21.

The new Cloud version of Blackboard will have two new features, including Drag and Drop for faculty uploading files and Submission Confirmation for students submitting assignments.

Faculty are encouraged to contact FCLD with any concerns and/or questions about this upgrade, (860) 768-4661 or fcld@hartford.edu .  Students experiencing technical difficulties with Blackboard should call (860) 515-3742 for assistance.
