The University of Hartford Department of Public Safety Assistant Chief Michael Kaselouskas and Lieutenant Peter Bergenholtz attended the IACLEA (International Association of Campus Law Enforcement) conference last week in Orlando Florida. Both administrators attended several training sessions that included Behavioral Threat Assessment, Risk Mitigation, Title IX–Clery compliance, First Amendment Rights and Free Speech. They also participated in “One on One with Business Partners” with our current vendors LiveSafe, e2campus, and PowerDMS” to maximize their value to our emergency notification and administrative practices.

Assistant Chief Kaselouskas has dedicated a large amount of time in the area of threat assessment, specializing in threats to campuses and schools. He was asked to be part of an expert panel to present to the entire conference in the area of crisis management on university and college campuses. He has presented for the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals in this area and on our campus. He is currently the president of the CT chapter of IACLEA.
