Tips to Avoid Traffic Congestion on Campus During Magnet School Dismissal

With the start of the school year, there will be heavy traffic from the University's main Bloomfield Avenue entrance (the one at the traffic light) down to the entrance of the University of Hartford Magnet (Elementary) School weekdays between 3–3:45 p.m. as buses and parents pick up students. It is suggested that vehicular traffic avoid the area during this time and use the north entrance off Bloomfield Ave. (the one without the traffic light) and/or the Mark Twain Drive entrance (adjacent to Public Safety). If using the main entrance during this busy period, vehicles should turn left onto President's Way (the roadway between Bates House and the Administration Building) to avoid the Magnet School traffic congestion.
