On Thursday, September 20th, University of Hartford students are invited to attend the kickoff event for the Pandora Challenge. In partnership with Real Industry and Pandora, UHart students will create a national music marketing and playlist campaign. In partnership with Andrew McMahon, the Pandora Challenge exists to inspire young people to rally around the message and mission of the Dear Jack Foundation. The kickoff will also have Pizza for students attending.
Pandora’s Director of Artist Marketing, Heather Ellis, will be attending the kickoff where she will give expert training on social media streaming platforms, she will also be making sporadic appearances throughout campus in various classes as an invited guest.
In this music, business, and marketing kick-off event, students will curate playlists, analyze analytics, audience, and fan engagement data, and work with top industry mentors to launch their campaigns. After the event, University of Hartford students work in teams to launch and optimize their campaigns across social media and music streaming services.
"The program educates, empowers, inspires thousands of students for careers in music, media, marketing, and business," said Jay LeBoeuf, Founder and Executive Director at Real Industry. "Students make a dent in the universe, while gaining the real-world experience and professional networks they need to secure future employment.”
