Last Sunday's Hartford Courant featured a front page story about the work of archaeologist and Professor of Jewish History Richard Freund who, along with five UHart Arts and Sciences students, traveled to Lithuania this summer to locate the burial site of Matilda Olkin, the Anne Frank of Lithuania. Assistant Professor of Communication Susan Cardillo was also on the trip and is now working with the students to make a documentary about Matilda. You can read the full story here.
