Come in to the Chipotle at 966 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford on Tuesday, November 13th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. The Center for Community Service is organizing an Alternative Spring Break trip to Eastern North Carolina. The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip will take place from March 16th to 23rd, 2019. The students will have the opportunity to serve a community devastated by Hurricane Florence and help them rebuild.
This year, the University of Hartford is sending 35 students and two staff advisors to Eastern North Carolina. The team will collaborate with local agencies and residents to support recovery efforts for a community left devastated by Hurricane Florence in September. Our team will be working on multiple projects helping these communities recover, such as: preparing flooded homes for restoration, assisting animal shelters, food banks, schools, and other community organizations.
