With forecast heavy rains for Saturday and the potential for both river and flash flooding, students are asked to avoid parking in low-lying areas of parking lots C, D, E (along the tree line), F (eastern most entrance by the pond), and N-Annex. Cars should now be on higher ground within these lots or in Lot F (by Konover Campus Center). Vehicles should be returned to their assigned parking lots by 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
It’s Mitten Tree time! Together with the Center for Community Service, the Harrison Libraries have once again set up the annual Mitten Tree just outside of Starbucks. Faculty, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to decorate the tree with donated hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves. Items will be accepted up until Thursday, December 13.
This year, donations of hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and toiletries will be distributed through My Sister’s Place and the Second Chance Boutique in West Hartford, which supports the Village for Families and Children.
Please help to make this drive as successful as possible. Stop by the Harrison Libraries between now and December 13, and keep this winter a warm and caring one!
