With forecast heavy rains for Saturday and the potential for both river and flash flooding, students are asked to avoid parking in low-lying areas of parking lots C, D, E (along the tree line), F (eastern most entrance by the pond), and N-Annex. Cars should now be on higher ground within these lots or in Lot F (by Konover Campus Center). Vehicles should be returned to their assigned parking lots by 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
Dirty for a Reason (the Hartford Art School's clay club) will hold its 21st annual holiday ceramics sale on Saturday, December 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Silpe Gallery. The sale will run through Sunday, December 9th.
Hundreds of handmade ceramics created by students, alumni and faculty, as well as work from the Sculpture Club, the Hartford Art School Print Club, and Photography Seniors will be for sale. This is the perfect opportunity to buy a one-of-a-kind item as a gift or for your own collection.
Thirty percent of the proceeds go toward the annual students’ trip to the NCECA (National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts) conference, which is being held in Minneapolis, MN in March.
