Promoting Diversity and Inclusion—Build Your NESTS

Do you want to build camaraderie with your peers on campus? Do you want to learn new skills or share your hobby with others? Do you need a space to decompress and unload?

Let’s build NESTS together!

NESTS (Networks of Engagement and Support To Succeed) are voluntary, employee-led groups that express the values of mutual understanding and shared community. Faculty and staff can use these safe spaces to support, understand, and share resources to connect with University of Hartford communities across colleges, units, or job classifications. NESTS also offer individuals various opportunities to become a more enthusiastic contributor to campus life.

In line with President Woodward’s plans for diversity, Equity, and Inclusion NESTS (Networks of Engagement and Support To Succeed) aims to build affinity networks across the University of Hartford community to promote inclusion, diversity, and equity among faculty, staff, and the greater community.

Your participation determines the success of this initiative. Here’s how you can get involved.

Please fill out the initial survey to assess needs and interests. You can let us know if you are interested in joining or forming a group. The survey will remain available until Thursday, January 31, 2019.
