Hartt saxophone students, alumni and faculty performed at the 41st International Saxophone Symposium on January 11-12, 2019 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Undergraduate students, Sophie Kaye, Andrew Carey, Abby Pollock and Owen Nichols performed a recital and in a masterclass for Taimur Sullivan, Professor of Saxophone at Northwestern University. Master's degree student Joseph Spence had his original composition entitled, Mediation premiered. Doctoral candidate Perry Roth performed a recital with staff pianist, Elisabeth Tomczyk. Hartt Professor of Saxophone, Carrie Koffman performed a recital of works by President Gregory Woodward, Hartt professor Gilda Lyons and the late, David Macbride.
