Alekander Marczuk, a senior who is earning a double major in Math/Biomedical Engineering, presented research work on “Analysis of Dynamics on Neural Networks” at a poster session held at the national Joint Mathematics Meetings in Baltimore, MD. The Joint Mathematics Meetings (http://jointmathematicsmeetings.org/jmm) is the largest mathematical conference in the world, and is co-hosted by the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. This is the very first time one of our University of Hartford students has presented at the Joint Mathematics Meetings!
His work was a result of year-long collaborative project with Dr. Hwayeon Ryu who is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. His travel was fully supported by both University of Hartford Student Association Government and the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Research Grants. The four mathematics faculty, Drs. Larissa Schroeder, Brian Allen (who will join UH math department in Fall 2019), Hwayeon Ryu, and Michelle Rabideau attended his poster presentation, as shown in the picture.
