A letter from CETA Dean Search Committee Chair Kate Pendergast:

Feb. 4, 2019

Dear Members of the University of Hartford Community:

I’m writing to update you on the search for our next dean of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. We are happy to report that this opportunity has attracted a strong and diverse pool of candidates from a wide range of institutions and backgrounds. The search committee is hard at work reviewing the credentials of these candidates and assessing their experience in light of the particular needs of CETA’s students, faculty, and staff as well as the larger University’s priorities and mission.

Following an initial round of interviews, we anticipate that a small number of finalists will visit campus in late winter to meet with individuals outside the search committee and to introduce themselves to CETA faculty and staff at an open forum. We will update you in the coming weeks with further details about these campus visits once our finalists are identified and the schedule is confirmed. We will also ask for your assistance at that time in helping us continue our recruitment of these individuals to our community.

Thank you very much for your participation in this important process, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are excited to move forward to the next phase of the search and will update you again soon with more details about the visits.

Kate Pendergast
Chair, CETA Dean Search Committee
