It’s Honors Week (April 15-19) to celebrate the exemplary work of great students!
First, on Tu, 4/16, any declared HON can receive a free HON tee-shirt at the HON table in GSU from 12:15 to 1:30. Any student who has not yet committed to the Honors Program also can receive a free shirt by submitting an advisor-signed declaration form. Come to the HON table to learn more, receive info, and submit a declaration form.
To find the form and identify their honors coordinator, students can go to the Honors website: www.hartford.edu/honors. Then click on Forms and then Coordinators.
Then, on Th, April 18, the Undergraduate Colloquium on Creativity and Research will be held. This academic conference will be held from noon to 6:15 in rooms A, B, C, and D of the 1877 Club (near the library). This exciting event will feature over seventy student presenters on seventeen panels Seniors honors students will present their theses, and many other top students will present their academic essays, scientific experiments, business plans, art works, teaching internships, musical talents, engineering projects, and much more. Every college will be represented by at least one panel, and the program can be found online at
All students are encouraged to attend a panel or two, and several HON seniors will be repeating the presentations they just made at last week’s National Council on Undergraduate Research conference (near Atlanta, GA). The Honors Program Director, Dr. Donald Jones, invites all students to “come be inspired by top students presenting their exemplary works!”
