Affirming Voice: Vocal Empowerment for the Brave-Hearted
Thursday, May 16; 12 – 1:30 pm
Speaker: Kate Callahan
What is vocal empowerment? Most of us use our voice on a daily basis without thinking much about it. However, your voice is an innate tool that you can strengthen and inspire with conscious attention. In this workshop, we will explore the voice as an instrument of authenticity and courage. Using spoken word, improv, and (a little) singing, Kate Callahan will help you connect with your voice, learn tools for empowerment, and increase your sense of joy. After sustaining a brain injury as a young woman, Kate used creativity and music to help her regain her sense of self and her singing voice. She now shares elements of her powerful program through group workshops and one-on-one coaching.
